About 50% of the heat from a radiator is used to heat the wall behind it. Only about 50% is used to heat the room itself.
As the radiator warms up, it warms the wall behind it. The heat is then transferred to the outside of the wall where it is lost.
Energy is saved and the fuel bills are substantially reduced giving very early payback periods (6 months to 24 months).
These panels have Ofgem accreditation for EEC schemes. After fitting your radiator panels they will reduce your heating bills by up to 20%. That's over £60 a year for the average 3 bedroom semi-detached house, which means they will pay for themselves in as little as one season.
The Heatsaver Panel is a unique profiled thermal insulator, the result of years of intensive research.
Without Heatsaver the radiator must first heat up the wall behind - this heat seeps through the wall and out of the building.
